COACH SHRED TERMS & CONDITIONS AND PRIVACY POLICY

1. WHO WE ARE AND AGREEING TO THESE TERMS

Coach Shred is an online music school operated by Burning Wick LLC d/b/a Coach Shred, a New Jersey limited liability company ("Coach Shred," "we," "us"). These terms apply to anyone who joins the membership, enrolls in, books or takes lessons with Coach Shred ("you"). If you enroll a student under 18, "you" means the parent or guardian, and you agree to these terms for yourself and the student.

By submitting our enrollment form, booking a lesson, joining the membership or checking "I agree," you accept these terms and the privacy policy below. If you don't agree, please don't enroll, join or book.

2. LESSONS, TUITION AND BILLING

Rates. Private lessons are $35 per 30-minute lesson and $70 per 60-minute lesson. The membership is $100 per month. A Rep Block is $379. These prices apply unless we agree otherwise in writing. We'll email you at least 7 days before any price change takes effect.

Monthly billing for lessons. Students with a standing weekly lesson are billed on or around the 1st of each month for all lessons scheduled that month. Some months have 5 lessons and some have 4, so your monthly total varies. If you start mid-month, your first invoice covers the lessons left in that month and is charged before your first lesson.

Single and trial lessons. Lessons booked through our online booking page are paid in full when you book.

Payment authorization. A card or bank account on file is required for lessons and memberships. By saving a payment method, you authorize us to charge it automatically for tuition, membership fees and any charges described in these terms. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We don't store your full card number.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, we'll retry it up to 3 times, about 3 days apart. If it's still unpaid, we may pause lessons, check-ins and portal access until your account is current.

Taxes. Prices don't include any taxes that may apply.

3. MEMBERSHIP

What's included. While your membership is active you get:
- Access to the Coach Shred member portal: lesson plans, daily practice plans, a tempo trainer, a practice log, streaks and progress tracking, and an AI practice coach
- A home coach assigned to you
- 4 coach check-ins per calendar month

Check-ins. Each check-in is either a live video call of up to 15 minutes with your coach, or a video reply from your coach to a practice clip you send. You choose which. Check-ins are for feedback and next steps, not full lessons. Unused check-ins don't roll over to the next month and can't be exchanged for credit or refunds.

Scheduling live check-ins. Book live check-ins at a time your coach has open. If you cancel at least 24 hours ahead, the check-in isn't used. If you cancel later or don't show, it counts as used.

Video replies. Your coach will usually reply to a clip within 3 days. If your coach is unavailable, another Coach Shred coach may reply instead.

Billing. Your first membership payment is charged when your membership starts, once we confirm your coach. After that, the membership renews automatically and is billed on or around the 1st of each month until you cancel. If you join partway through a month, your first charge may be prorated for the rest of that month.

Cancelling the membership. Cancel anytime by emailing [email protected] before the 1st of the month. You won't be billed again. You keep access, including any remaining check-ins, through the end of the month you've paid for. We don't refund partial months.

The member portal. We're rolling out portal features to founding members over time. Until a feature is live, your coach provides that part of the program directly, such as practice plans. Features may change as we improve the portal. If we remove a core feature of the membership, we'll tell you first and you can cancel.

AI practice coach. The AI practice coach gives general practice suggestions. It can make mistakes, and it doesn't replace your human coach or medical advice. If its advice conflicts with your coach's, follow your coach.

Your account. Memberships are for one student. Please don't share your login.

4. REP BLOCK

A Rep Block is 6 one-hour lessons over 2 weeks, focused on one technique. It includes a tempo test at the first and last lesson, a daily practice plan, and feedback on clips between lessons. A Rep Block is paid in full before the first lesson.

Rep Block lessons follow the same 24-hour cancellation rule as other lessons (section 5). Make-up lessons for a Rep Block must be used within 30 days of your first Rep Block lesson. If you cancel the whole Rep Block before your first lesson, we'll refund it in full.

5. CANCELLATIONS, MAKE-UPS, REFUNDS AND ENDING ENROLLMENT

- 24 hours or more before a lesson starts: Not charged. We'll schedule a make-up lesson or credit it to your next month.
- Less than 24 hours before it starts: Charged in full
- No-show: Charged in full

Cancel lessons with the link in your reminder email or by emailing us. Make-up lessons must be used within 30 days and depend on teacher availability.

If we cancel. If your teacher or Coach Shred cancels a lesson or live check-in, you'll get a make-up or a credit, your choice.

Ending lesson enrollment. You can end weekly lessons anytime by emailing [email protected] before the 1st of the month. We won't bill you for future months. Tuition already charged for the current month isn't refunded, except for credits owed under this section.

Refunds. Credits are applied to future tuition. If you leave with unused lesson credits, we'll refund them to your original payment method within 14 days.

Disputes. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We'll work to resolve billing questions quickly.

6. ONLINE LESSONS AND CHECK-INS

What you need. A working instrument, a device with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and a quiet space. You're responsible for your own equipment and connection.

Lesson rooms. Lessons and live check-ins take place in your coach's Coach Shred online room (such as Google Meet). The link is in your reminder emails. Please don't share it.

Technical problems. If a lesson or check-in can't go ahead because of a problem on our side, we'll make it up. If it's a problem on your side and you lose more than half the session, we'll try to reschedule but can't promise to.

Running late. Lessons and check-ins start and end on time. If you're late, the session still ends at its scheduled time.

Recordings. We don't record lessons or live check-ins unless we've arranged it with you in advance. Students and parents may not record them without the teacher's permission.

Practice clips. Clips you send are used only to coach you. We won't post or share them publicly without your written permission.

Teachers. Our teachers are independent contractors who teach on behalf of Coach Shred. We'll try to keep you with the same coach. If your coach becomes unavailable, we may assign another qualified coach. Please book and pay only through Coach Shred, not directly with teachers.

7. STUDENTS UNDER 18

A parent or guardian must enroll any student under 18, and is responsible for the account, payments and these terms.
- Supervision. A parent or guardian should be home during lessons and live check-ins for students under 13, and is responsible for the student's online safety.
- Communication. Teachers contact parents, not students, about scheduling and billing. Teachers communicate with students only through Coach Shred channels (lesson rooms, the member portal, lesson notes and Coach Shred email), never through personal texts, DMs or social media.
- Professional conduct. Teachers keep lessons, check-ins and video replies professional and age-appropriate. Please report any concern to [email protected] right away. We take every report seriously.
- Parent access. Parents can see lesson notes and coach replies, and may sit in on any lesson or check-in.

8. CONDUCT, CONTENT, LIABILITY AND LEGAL TERMS

Conduct. We expect respectful behavior from students, parents and teachers. We may pause or end enrollment or membership for abusive behavior, repeated no-shows or unpaid fees. If we end it, we'll refund any unused lesson credits and the unused part of any prepaid program.

Lesson materials. Practice plans, exercises, tabs, portal content and other materials we provide are for your personal use. Please don't resell or publish them.

No guarantees. Progress depends on practice and many things outside our control. We don't guarantee any particular result.

Physical safety. Playing an instrument and singing involve normal physical activity. Stop and rest if anything hurts, and check with a doctor about any health concerns.

Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, Coach Shred isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. We'll email enrolled families and members at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Continuing lessons or your membership after that date means you accept the new terms.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.

9. PRIVACY POLICY

We collect only what we need to run lessons and the membership and to bill you, and we never sell your information.

What we collect and why:
- Names, email, phone, ZIP code: scheduling, reminders and account messages
- Student age, instrument, experience and goals: matching students with coaches and planning lessons
- Lesson notes, practice logs, streaks and song progress: tracking progress and sharing it with you and your coach
- Practice clips and coach video replies: giving you feedback on your playing
- Messages to the AI practice coach: generating practice suggestions for you
- Payment details: billing. Cards and bank accounts are handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.

Who we share it with. Only the service providers that run Coach Shred: Teachworks (scheduling and billing), Stripe (payments), Google (lesson rooms and email), our website and member-portal hosting providers, and our AI provider for the AI practice coach. Your assigned coach sees the student's name, lesson details, practice data, clips and progress. We may also share information if the law requires it.

Website. Our website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability.

Children's information. We collect information about students under 18 only from their parent or guardian, and only to provide lessons and the membership. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

Your choices. You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, including practice clips, or unsubscribe from non-essential emails, by emailing [email protected]. We keep billing records as long as tax law requires.

Security. We use reputable providers and limit access to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
